happy thanksgiving

happy happy happy thanksgiving!  i hope that everyone has a great day, you get a chance to reflect on those things for which you're thankful, and of course, you get to chow down some tasty holiday goodies.
i'm ready, pass the roasted bird
my thanskgiving meal - actually my first ever utensil-required meal - came a couple days early and i couldn't have been more excited.  there's nothing like ever-so-flavorful rice cereal to get a baby energized.  while this may not appear as scrumptious as a fine roasted turkey, rest assured, i found it just as tasty.

the goods
it took me a little time to get the hang of this weird circle-on-stick in food, circle-on-stick in mouth, circle-on-stick back to food procedure you adults call "eating".  at first i thought i could just grab the whole bowl with two hands and scarf down all the the food, the same way daddy's drinks the remnants of his cereal. but i quickly learned this was not going to be allowed at ryder meals.
that's my bowl daddy
i then figured if i couldn't grab the bowl, at least i could grab the circle-on-stick utensil and make sure that it found the proper home.

mr. spoon, i'll show you where to go
getting ready for first bite

eventually i got the hang of things and realized that this whole eating thing is not too hard. i get to sit back, do none of the hard work, and let the airplane come to hangar.
