five month routine

i had many exciting adventures in august and september including car camping trips with mom and dad, a snoey family vacation to priest lake, an extended goose rocks beach excursion and a quick getaway to the methow valley with g'Ma and g'Pa.

but now that the days are officially shorter, the leaves are falling and i've become a five-month-old big boy, i thought it time to settle down into a slower seattle routine.  these days i get up about seven thirty, "hang out" for three hours - and by hang out i mean i  1) chow down,  2) flail around on my play mat and show mrs. ladybug who is boss 3) go for a stroll with mom or dad, and then 4) take a snooze.  precisely fifty minutes later, i get up, repeat steps one through three and snooze again.  unless there are some unanticipated interruptions thrown in by mom and dad (visits from theo, enthralling trips to the local grocer, watching cousin elise play soccer) this is generally how my day unfolds until seven thirty when i call it for the evening.

in other news, i was very bummed last month when out of the blue mommy announced she couldn't play with me as much because she was being summoned downtown to some inside boxy place four days a week.  luckily i have the best mommy in the world and she arranged for oma to play with me twice a week and daddy to pick up the other two days.

life with oma has been grand.  we read books together, take long walks and she even lets me sit up like a real cool dude in my bumbo chair.  in fact sometimes i think i look forward to oma days even more than i do to the ones with mommy and daddy (but please don't tell them i mentioned that, they would be quite embarrassed).
