my first ball game

i missed my home digs
i got some quick cat naps in after my trip to maine, but then wednesday night after i got back, poppy and oma kidnapped me off to my first baseball game. mommy and daddy demanded to come along too. i, for one, was none to happy about this because i was hoping for some quality oma and poppy alone time, but alas.

the crew
i found mr. moose!

before the game started, poppy set it up so we could have a bite to eat at the hit it here cafe.  for those of you unfamiliar with safeco field, the hit it here cafe sits above the right field bleachers and provides a great spot to grab a bite to eat and take in a game. in my case, i grabbed a bite to eat and watched b.p.

its been a long day already pops
oma and poppy reading to me about my favorite mariner

after dinner we saddled up along the first base line, in the first row of the upper deck.  these seats afforded me not only a great view of the field, but also a stunning view of the city on what was a crisp and clear evening.
view from my seat
don't i look cute in blue and red?

so you're curious about the best part of the evening...it was the outcome of course!  my second favorite team in baseball solidly outlasted, outperformed, and outclassed my least favorite and the most despised team in professional sports for a 2 - 1 victory.  i was so excited, that i gave oma a big hug and then called mr. jeter a girlie-man all the way from the upper deck.
oma, thanks for keeping me warm

after such a fun adventure, mommy and daddy made sure that i got down to business the rest of the week.  despite being forced to polish off my summer reading list, i still found time to sneak in some play time with friends.

will i be tested on this daddy?

mommy, i want to read the "high-speed" little train

mr. isaac, do you want to play baby bumper cars
