the way home

on the return from priest lake, mommy and daddy hatched some plans to meet their good friends charlie, sarah, asa, and edith (who recently traded in seattle for the mountains of missoula, mt) on the banks of lake coeur d'alene.  while the campground - three miles off of i-90 - didn't quite hold a candle to priest lake extravagance, i was happy to give car camping another go.

lake couer d'alene
it was a quick visit. we rolled up saturday afternoon, went swimming, had dinner, made a campfire, went nighty night, woke up and had one of the better brunches mommy and daddy have had in a good long time.  if you're ever in CDA and looking for some duck sausage, this might be a good place to check out. charlie hadn't seen me since day 2 of my young existence...he was quite impressed by my boyish good looks and my mature nature.

after brunch, we high tailed it out of idaho and made the long drive home. i was the perfect child for the next seven plus hours. i rode a dinosaur with daddy during a stretch and lunch stop in a moses lake baseball park. then sat through a long, hot, sunday-evening traffic jam in cle elum, where i donned some wet head towels to stay cool.  by the time i got home, i was thoroughly zonked out from camping and the priest lake trip, so i snoozed and snoozed and snoozed.
go dino, go!
cooling off
somebody hit the snooze button for me, i can't quite reach it
