while the rest of the country has been scorching hot, we here in the emerald city enjoyed our first "real" summer weekend of the year (think low-80 temps). to mark the occasion, i demanded mommy and daddy take me romping through the city.

time for me to get outside!
on friday night we met up with our amigos jason and martina, had a picnic, and watched stage 19 of the tour de france on the big screen. this was by far the best stage of the year and i made loud cooing noises when my
favorite cyclist from team Garmin almost won the stage.

i see you, can you see me?

yo martina tell him to let me go explore!
on saturday i did silly and boring errands with mom and dad. i took no pictures and hope we never have to do these again. i prefer playmats and cuddles.
sunday we returned to our normal, fun and adventurous ways. we went hiking in golden gardens and got some great views of the olympic mountains. i got to test out my new sun hat, which i wear partly for uv protection but mostly because it solicits immediate "cuteness compliments". what can i say, the baby gals love a young man with a well protected dome.

after the hike, i went over to my friend marcel's house. he is 14 months old, so he taught me a couple big boy tricks. then mommy and daddy went to go get some of
seattle's best ice cream. they refused to share with me, so the rest of the afternoon i protested by burping like a mad man. by sunday evening, all three of us were dirty and exhausted. i had a quick bath then relaxed on the man couch.
