okay, okay, i'm sorry for the lack of posting lately, but please don't get your diapers in a bundle. with my holiday travel schedule and the seattle snowpocalypse, a hiatus was much needed. but have no fear, mr ryder is back with some post-holiday cheer.
i believe when i left you, mommy, daddy and i were fighting off some colds, i had just learned how to roll over and the three of us were about to make the much anticipated christmas romp back to maine. we left early on the tuesday before Xmas, and after a thankfully uneventful cross-country plane ride (for those of you counting that's number three for your's truly), g'Ma and g'Pa scooped us up in boston and we headed north.

the first few days we were in portland, we ran around helping everyone get ready for christmas. g. uncle john and g. aunt susie (she still loves this title, by the way) rolled in from san francisco a day after us. g.g'Pa Dick and Joan drove the beamer up from connecticut a day later and of course, auntie sarah flew in from chi-town.

on christmas eve, i changed into my festive santa jumpsuit - courtesy of uncle andrew and aunt kelly. i went to church and got passed from relative to relative as i belted out joy to the world and silent night, then we came back and i had a big night before christmas feast.

| i'm a christmas rockstar! |
i didn't sleep real well on christmas eve, because i was concerned about how many cookies mr. claus had been eating and whether he could fit his bum down the chimney. but luckily mommy and daddy assured me that the reindeers would make it happen, so i drifted off to sleep and woke up to the following big day. pictures are probably more effective than words at this point in describing the first cook family christmas.
